The Northumberland County Board of Supervisors votes to grant a zoninmg change three-acre portion of a parcel on Jessie duPont Memorial Highway to general business. According to the Rapppahannock Record the plans submitted with the request call for a 10,640 square-foot store to be built on the property along with a paved parking lot. The store was not named but a developer representative said the said the store would be open every day “typically from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.”
