Dominion Energy filed a proposal with the Virginia State Corporation Commission to implement nearly two dozen new solar and energy storage projects including 2 in Richmond County. If approved, the projects will provide more than 800 megawatts of carbon-free electricity, enough to power more than 200,000 Virginia homes at peak output. Dominion is proposing to acquire the Cerulean Solar project from Strata Clean Energy and will build the Moon Corner Solar facility on Ridge Road along the Lancaster County line.
