Fire Damages Christchurch Home

A fire severely damaged a Christchurch home on Monday. Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department Chief Ray Burch tells the Southside Sentinel it appears the fire started in an upstairs bathroom lamp fixture and “quickly” spread through the rest of the upstairs. All 4 county fire departments responded to the blaze. The home’s damage is estimated at $200,000 and another $100,000 in damaged or ruined contents. No injuries were reported .
