Kilmarnock Delinquent Utility Customers Could Get Relief

The Kilmarnock Town Council is looking at legislation to forgive residents with delinquent utility accounts up to $2,500 in the coming weeks. The Rappahannock Record reports the town received a grant through the Virginia Low Income Household Water Assistance Program which provides funds to assist low-income households with water and wastewater bills. A third party non-profit organization will administer the program and help the town to determine accounts that qualify and distribute funds.
