Middlesex County School division employees are getting $1,000 Christmas bonuses. The Southside Sentinel reports the school board approved the $249,000 expenditure which is partially funded with state funding to all Standard of Quality school personnel. The remaining amount comes from the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief funds. Saluda District school board member Dr. Dana Burnett says she cannot think of a better way to use the funds than to give it to the employees who worked so hard during COVID.
