The Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office is participating in the Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Takeback Day on Saturday between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. It’s a safe way to dispose of expired and no longer needed prescription drugs and it also keeps them from getting into the hands of drug abusers. You can drop medications off at 195 Judicial Place Heathsville. Sharps, liquids, ointments and aerosols are not accepted.
