Richmond County BOS Looking At Outdoor Event Ordinance Changes

The Richmond County Board of Supervisors is working on revisions to an ordinance governing outdoor music festivals and concerts held on private property. According to News on the Neck lawmakers are looking to make the ordinance apply to all outdoor events with some exceptions such as weddings and family gatherings. Another proposed change is requiring a permit if more than 100 people are to attend which is reduced from 250. The Board of Supervisors may vote on the changes later this week.
