VDH Offers Trick-Or-Treat Safety Tips

As little ghosts and goblins prepare to hit the trick-or-treat trails the Virginia Department of Health offers tips yo make it a safe Halloween. Parents are advised to only allow children to eat candy that has been pre-packaged by a reputable manufacturer and check wrapped treats for signs of tempering. Children shouldn’t snack on treats from their goody bags while they’re out trick-or-treating. Carry a flashlight and apply reflective tape or strips to costumes. And trick-or-treat in groups if possible.
