Christopher Newport University’s Wason Center for Civic Leadership released its fall 2022 survey of political concerns. It found 46% of registered voters saying that they plan to vote for the Democratic candidates while 40% plan to vote for Republicans. 42% of respondents say Virginia’s heading in the right direction, 40% saying it’s going the wrong direction. The survey found while Virginians opposed overturning Roe v. Wade a slight majority favors a 15-week abortion ban with exceptions for rape, incest and life of the mother.
