Enroll Virginia to Review Impacts of Updated Public Charge Rule on Virginia Immigrants

The Department of Homeland Security released its final public charge rule in September, clarifying under what circumstances the public charge test will be applied to U.S. immigration applications. Confusion around public charge can create a chilling effect, preventing immigrant families from accessing public benefits for which they are eligible, even when the benefits will not impact their future immigration status. Enroll Virginia is hosting a webinar on November 17th at 1pm to review the public charge rule and its impact on public benefits for Virginia’s immigrant communities. Presentations will be given in English and simultaneously translated into Spanish.
