More townhomes are likely to come to Kilmarnock following a recommendation for approval of a rezoning application submitted by Blue Sky Development and Acquisition Company LLC for the purpose of building townhomes on Chesapeake Way. According to town manager Susan Cockrell, the development company seeks to rezone undeveloped land beside Walmart from commercial to residential. Representing the development company, Will Allen told the commission the proposed townhomes would hit the market in the $200,000 range per unit. The rezoning applications will be heard by town council on Monday, November 21.
