Urbanna Passes New Clutter Ordinance

Urbanna residents who don’t mow their lawns or have garbage, trash, refuse and other “clutter” on their properties could fave tougher penalties from a new ordinance passed earlier this month. The Southside Sentinel reports the new ordinance contains more detailed definitions and photos to help define “clutter.” Violators get 7 days to correct infractions before the town takes action at the property owner’s expense. A lien can be placed against the property if bills are not paid.
