28% Of Virginians Consider Booze & Caffeine ‘Essential’

A survey conducted by medical information website Drug Genius finds more than one quarter of Virginians say that caffeine or alcohol make up their daily fluid intake. The Augusta Free Press reports surveyers contacted 4,000 respondents and 28% percent said they live on caffeine or alcohol. That’s just under the national rate of 30%. One in three Americans said they consider alcohol and coffee as essential purchases.
