Kilmarnock Town manager Susan Cockrell receives a 26% pay raise. The Rappahannock Record reports the Town Council increased Cockrell’s salary to $120,000 after councilor Emerson Gravatt moved to authorize the raise. Gravatt said Cockrell has long been underpaid in comparison to nearby localities with similar populations. The vote was 4-0 with 2 council members absent. The additional money for Cockrell’s salary will come from the General Fund.
