A man convicted of assaulting an individual at a Lancaster High School basketball game last March will be in jail for a year. The Rappahannock Record reports John Arthur Jones Jr. was found guilty of hitting the boyfriend of an ex-girlfriend. Jones and the woman have a son who’s a student and basketball player at Washington & Lee High School. Nearly a half-dozen sheriff’s deputies wittnessed the assault and it was captured on surveillance video.
