Attorney General Jason Miyares announced a settlement in a multi-state lawsuit against CarMax Auto Superstores Inc. that will require the vehicle retailer to disclose unrepaired safety recalls before vehicles are purchased. Virginia is expected to receive just over $25,000 as part of the settlement which will be used for future consumer protection enforcement purposes. The settlement stems from an investigation opened due to concerns that consumers were not aware of unrepaired and potentially serious safety recalls in purchased used vehicles.
