The Virginia American Water Company announces it wants to purchase E.L. Goddard which has around 275 customers in Lancaster, Northumberland, and Westmoreland counties. News on the Neck reports if VAWC gets purchase approval from the State Corporation Commission customers would see billing go from bi-monthly to monthly and water metering would be implemented. The SCC is accepting public comments until January 13.
