Virginia launched a new program to help residents determine if they have unclaimed property being held by the state. It’s available online at vamoneysearch.gov and after entering some basic information you’ll see if there’s a bank account, stocks, dividends, insurance benefits or other unclaimed property. If there’s a match you can create a claim form and upload any required documents from a smartphone or computer.
