Cabin Point Shoreline Project Completed

Work is comopleted on a project to repair the shoreline at the beach in Cabin Point. Westmoreland News reports the $1.2 million project began last October to stop the shoreline from vanishing in steadily greater amounts.
Over 800 tons of rocks were used in the construction of nine breakwaters. Another 12 tons of oyster shells also went into the construction. The project site will be inspected throughout the year to see how it holds up.
