An Essex County Public Schools employee is charged from an investigation into reports the individual sent inappropriate messages to a child is younger than 15 years old. Schools Superintendent Dr. Harry Thomas tells CBS 6 he was informed of the incident a week ago from the child’s parent. After reviewing the matter the employee was fired and the Essex County Sheriff’s Office was contacted. The individual was booked into jail on a $5,000 secured bond and arraignment is set for January 23.
