Town of Kilmarnock officials plan to ask the state for an expedited replacement of the Robert O. Norris Bridge. News on the Neck reports Mayor Shawn Donahue suggested that the Town Council send a letter to the congressional delegation to encourage the bridge replacement occur sooner than is outlined in VDOT’s 30-year plan. The hope is that the new Northern Neck Heritage federal designation will help with the expedition request.
