Mathews County residents have until February 6 to pay their personal property taxes. The Gazette-Journal reports the Board of Supervisors unanimously voted to extend the deadline after a public hearing. The board also decided not to eliminate the $25 vehicle license fee assessed annually on all vehicle owners. The amount of personal property tax relief for residents is unchanged at 35% of the first $20,000 of the vehicle’s value.
