Parole Board Chairman Releases Report

Virginia parole board chairman Chadwick Dotson released a report detailing the results of a thorough review that was conducted at the request of Governor Glenn Youngkin. Dotson says “drastic changes” must be made including more dedicated staffers and increased transparency. Recommendations include expanding the board to six full-time members and open up parole hearings to the public. The board also needs a new computer database and an upgraded website.
