Parents and guardians of Westmoreland County students may soon be receiving notices of sexually explicit materials being taught in the classroom. Westmoreland News reports the school board is working to comply with the state law requiring notification. Parents can then review the material and request alternate assignments. Once the regulations are drawn up and completed, the board will vote on them but a date for that vote hasn’t been set.
