A driver is killed in a one-car crash early Sunday morning in Tappahannock. State Police say it happened at the intersection of Route 17 and Route 360 when the driver hit a stop light at the intersection, a parked vehicle, a fence and a tree. Investigators sayspeed is believed to be a factor in the crash. The driver was the only occupant and their body is at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy and positive identification.
