Members of the Northumberland Boys and Girls Club are participating in Garden Club offered by the Northern Neck Extension Master Gardeners. It teaches a range of garden-related topics in a hands-on, experimental format. Members also learned the importance of birds to the garden, identified common songbirds, and made pinecone birdfeeders to improve habitats for birds. The Garden Club projects and lessons are a follow-up to the summer camp program conducted by Extension Master Gardeners last year.
