The Mathews Historical Museum is showing the 1999 film “Mathews County: Happy Homes and Fertile Farms on Smiling Waters” on Feb. 10. The Gazette-Jorunal reports the movie by the late Eugene C. Hudgins of Mathews is a historical overview of the county. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and at 6:30, Coles Hudgins, son of the filmmaker will discuss the genesis of the film and answer questions. The movie is set to start at 7.
