The Middlesex County Board of Supervisors is in the process of working on the county’s next fiscal year budget. The Southside Sentinel reports the Board conducted its “Budget Kick-Off Meeting” last Tuesday at their regular monthly meeting. One issue the Board is working on is the state error that cut finding to school divisions including an $87,000 loss to Middlesex County Public Schools.
The error means local school divisions statewide will receive $201 million less than expected, including $58 million less for the current school year.
