The Middle Peninsula AARP Tax Aide volunteers kicked off their income tax preparation and filing for Middlesex County residents last week at the Cryer Center in Harmony Village. According to the Southside Sentinel the group prepares tax returns for taxpayers with low to moderate income with emphasis on senior citizens. The Tax Aide program is sponsored by AARP Foundation in cooperation with the IRS. Membership in AARP is not required and the service is provided at no charge.
