Proposed Resolutions Will Honor Westmoreland Icons

A Westmoreland County resident and a county business could receive recognition by the General Assembly if resolutions proposed by Senator Richard Stuart is passed. Westmoreland News reports Stuart is seeking recognition for Carl Fletcher Flemer III known as “Fletch,” who was a nurseryman, businessman, and honorable veteran. The other resolution honors Birddogs Country Store, which operated for over 13 years before closing its doors in 2022. Founder Darlene Dyer is recognized for keeping the store open to those in need through the pandemic.
