Rappahannock General Hospital has raised almost $20 million for upgrades and to further secure its future. According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch the hospital is openng a newly expanded emergency department this week. It’s the centerpiece of the first phase of improvements, a development central to the Kilmarnock hospital’s federal designation as a critical access hospital. The recent makeover is also the first major renovation for Rappahannock General since it opened in 1977.
