Gov. Glenn Youngkin says he’d consider calling a General Assembly special session if lawmakers can’t come to terms on a spending plan before the regular session ends next month. The Richmond Times-Dispatch reports there a $1 billion gap between the House of Delegates and state Senate budgets. It was in June of last year that the GA agreed on a budget in a special session and 2 weeks later they acted on Youngkin’s amendments before the July 1 start of the fiscal year.
