A nonprofit organization is accepting applications from Virginia schools for grants to hold after-prom parties. Officials with Youth of Virginia Speak Out About Traffic Safety say they are awarding up to seven $1,000 grants which will be based on financial need and the school’s dedication to keeping teens safe on prom night. Applications will be accepted from March 3 through March 19 with winners announced on March 22.
