7 Gloucester County Residents Indicted For Unemployment Fraud

Attorney General Jason Miyares announced that the Unemployment Compensation Fraud Unit has produced seven sets of indictments. Each of the suspcts is a Gloucester County resident and each is charged with one count of felony obtaining money by false pretense. In 2022 Miyares was asked by the Virginia Employment Commission to help prosecute fraudulent claims for unemployment compensation. This is the third set of indictments secured by Miyares.
