Virginia’s superintendent of public instruction has resigned. The Virginia Mercury reports Jillian Balow will stay on with the Youngkin administration as a consultant. A spokesperson for the governor said he thanks Balow for her service and work in advancing his education agenda to empower parents and restore excellence in education. No reason was given for Balow’s resignation.
