Dummy Shell Causes Anxiety In Port Haywood

Some anxious moments recently in Port Haywood when what looked like a real artillery shell was found at a Bethel Beach Road home. According to the Gazette-Journal the unexploded ordnance was found while the home was being cleaned out. The Explosive Ordinance Disposal Mobile Unit at the Yorktown Naval Weapons Station was called out and determined the shell was a dummy. They disposd of the rusted 18-inch-long cylinder.
