2022 was a good year for economic development in Gloucester County and according to a report provided to the Board of Supervisors by Economic Development Director Sherry Spring the economy looks to remain strong into 2023. As of the current fiscal year 21 new commercial businesses and 86 homebased businesses have opened in the county. Spring said in their strategic plan, it states, ‘Gloucester Enjoys a Diverse, Thriving Economy,’ and it is well on its way.
