It’s 50 years in jail for a Mathews County man pleading guilty to murdering his parents. Prosecutors say Jonathan Thomas Moore fatally stabbed Adam and Melissa Moore last June in their West Point Lane home in the New Point area. Moore was taken into custody without incident the day the murders were discovered. The murders were the first in the county since 2018.
