Virginia Resuming Medicaid Recertification

With Virginia resuming the process of certifying on an annual basis that those receiving Medicaid qualify for it, officials with the Virginia Association of Free and Charitable Clinics say they are preparing for an increase in patients who can no longer receive coverage. Medicaid enrollment recertification was suspended durting the pandemic. The Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services says there are currently 2.2 million residnts receiving Medicaid.
