Burgess Woman Charged With Animal Cruelty Due In Court July 17

The Burgess woman charged with 58 counts of animal cruelty will appear in Northumberland General District Court at noon on July 17. According to the Rappahannock Record the woman was arraigned last Monday and also faces a charge of pet shop owner, providing inadequate care. Sheriff Johnny Beauchamp says the 57 dogs deputies seized last month at the woman’s property now belong to the county.
