A one-car crash in Mathews County results in the driver being killed. Police say the driver was heading northbound on Fitchetts Warf Road when they ran off the roadway and into a ditch on Haven Beach Road. The vehicle then struck a tree and caught on fire. The driver’s name was withheld pending next of kin notification.
