The Gwynn’s Island Museum is open for the season. According to the Gazette-Journal the museum’s hours are 1:00 p.m. unmtil 5:00 p.m. every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through the end of October. The museum was established in 1994 and last year it had 1,600 visitors who came from almost every state in the union. The museum’s volunteers are happy to welcome visitors to what they describe as the “Treasure of the Island and Mathews County.”
