Lancaster board of supervisors unanimously adopts school budget

LANCASTER-The Lancaster board of supervisors unanimously adopted a school budget totaling $18,111,648 at their recent meeting. The board also recommended a $22,000 increase in order to provide a pay raise for supervisors, something that has not been done since 2000. The board approved a school budget with level funding from the current budget, which is $34,692 less than what the school board had voted to recommend at its March 13 meeting and what was advertised by the board of supervisors. The board also unanimously approved a lump sum appropriation, effective for July 1. The board agreed to keep all tax rates unchanged for the 2024 calendar year.
