The Middlesex County School Board (MCSB) has once again tabled action on reaching an agreement with Hampton Roads Sanitation District (HRSD) on selling HRSD approximately one half acre of land on St. Clare Walker Middle School (SCW) property at Locust Hill. At the board’s recent meeting (April 10), MCSB cited concerns of how to control odors coming from the sanitation facility, and price negotiations as the reason for the delay. The Locust Hill facility will receive sewage from Saluda and Urbanna when there is more flow than the system can handle.
