Negotiations are under way between the Mathews County Board of Supervisors and a contractor who will dredge the he Hole in the Wall channel. The Gazette-Journal reports the Wisconsin-based company estimated a $1.7 million cost for the work but the final price will be decided after negotiations. The board also decided to issue another request for proporsals on the shoreline restoration work vecause only one bid came in.
