Last week the families of veterans being honored in Kilmarnock’s Hometown Heroes program were allowed to review and take pictures with the 17 new banners before they were placed throughout town. According to the Rappahannock Record words of remembrance were offered by several speakers at the Kilmarnock Town Centre Park celebration including Mayor Shawn Donahue. The new banners and past tributes will be in Steptoe’s District through Labor Day.
