A Westmoreland County Sheriff’s deputy graduated from the Rappahannock Regional Criminal Justice Academy 163rd Law Enforcement Basic. Deputy Joseph T. Gordon was one of 21 graduates representing ten law enforcement agencies. Deputy Gordon was a former deputy with Westmoreland County but resigned to serve in the Coast Guard. After completing his service, he reapplied and was appointed, but was required to attend training because of the time elapsed between his resignation and return.
