The Irvington Town Council app;roves its fiscal year 2024 budget and a meals tax was not part of the spending plan. According to the Rappahannock Record a proposed meals tax of 3% had been discussed to obtain funding for upcoming capital improvement projects. The budget and finance committee had proposed a total of just over a million dollars for capital improvements but the council cut that to $655,000.
