The Lancaster County Amateur Radio Emergency Service will participate in an annual Field Day event where they will be operating nationwide in a 24-hour, nonstop communication exercise. The Rqappahannock Record reports the event will be held from 2 p.m. Saturday to 2 p.m. Sunday at Town Centre Park in Kilmarnock. The public is invited to observe and participate. Field Day combines public service, emergency preparedness, community outreach, technical skills and communication across the world.
