Mathews County Board of Supervisors Enacts Noise Ordinance

The Mathews County Board of Supervisors votes unanimously to adopt a noise ordinance for the entire county. The Gazette-Journal reports the action came about a year after Gwynn’s Island residents first complained about a neighbor playing loud music at all hours. It requires no loud music to be played between the hours of midnight and 6:00 a.m. The vote came after the Board held a public hearing on the proposed law.
